Creating Chain

Okay, soooo yeah... lol. It's been that kind of week in the lab. It feels like I need to make 100 things happen while managing to make jewelry too. The funny part about creating anything is the amount of time you dedicate without detection. Hours just escape me. I have no idea how Thursday managed to get here so rapidly. Either Monday or Tuesday I began working on a handmade chain. I modified the pattern to turn it into a sort of collar. Actually the pattern wasn't showing as a bracelet, so that's when I decided to use it to create something else. I'm almost satisfied, but not quite. It seems like the necklace needs sparkle, and I'm not one to typically use crystals, but this time it's demanding it. But so far, with some mild finishing it's just about complete. The chain is made from 18 gauge sterling silver wire (jump rings are handmade), the stones are turquoise and quartz crystal. The toggle is Bali Silver.

Now that I'm looking at the photos, I don't mind the rock quartz so much. Actually it seems to make it more versatile. Crystals scream evening sometimes. What do you think? Maybe a mix of quartz and crystals?

I absolutely love this piece. It is just so beautiful. I'd have such a hard time parting with it.

Don't mention it, lol. This is exactly why I have to make a series. I keep making excuses not to sell. LOL.
